The House (4)This picture was taken from the drive and shows you how much the ground drops away towards the house - something we shall need to consider with regard to the storms that thrash around these mountains all year round. The tower (dovecote) has no real room at the top - it opens on to a balcony (not completely fenced in and which allowed one of our dogs to get the scare of his life when he blundered through the gap in the railings and out on to the roof. The quirk in this picture is the window to the dovecote which isn't really a window at all as it is blocked up inside!
